We take extreme care with data durability. By default, we replicate network storage so that our customers’ data is protected against catastrophes that exceptionally affect the active storage system or their physical environment.
High performance without bottlenecks
Enjoy high performance under any circumstances with our fully redundant storage systems.
Persistent, highly available, fault-tolerant storage over our multi-40G/100G network multi-40 G/100 G networkwith non-disruptive platform maintenance and upgrades.
Transparent, non-disruptive migration between service tiers. NetApp’s clustering capabilities allow you to move data volumes hot and nondisruptively between different systems and storage types to adapt to the changing demands of each customer’s workloads.
Efficient storage management technology: thin provisioning. This technology is usually present in most centralized storage facilities, but its benefits are usually left to the service providers. At Stackscale we pass this benefit on to our customers.
Instant clones thanks to the NetApp module for VMware VAAI-installed by default in all Stackscale VMware environments-with NetApp FlexClone.
Constant monitoring of individual performance metrics for each data volume thanks to NetApp ONTAP QoS capabilities.
Full georeplication included, synchronized hourly to independent storage systems physically located in a remote data center (except Archive, which is intended for backups and archiving).
Snapshot-based backups included; support for VMware, Proxmox VE, Kubernetes, Docker, HyperV, Citrix Hypervisor, Xen, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Red Hat Virtualization, Virtuozzo, OpenVZ, Nutanix, KVM and LXC. Custom backup scheduling available upon request.
Centralized NAS storage in High Availability connected through the NFS protocol, which guarantees greater protection of information compared to other block-based technologies (iSCSI, FC…) in certain contingency scenarios.
Basic scheduling of network storage backups
Guaranteeing the durability of the information is key in any project, for this reason all our storage services (except Archive, due to its nature) always include by default a complete replication of the information and a basic backup program.
In the main system
- One snapshot every hour (the last copy is retained).
- One snapshot every 2 hours (the last 2 copies are retained).
- One snapshot every 6 hours (the last copy is retained).
In the replication system
- One snapshot every 6 hours (the last 16 copies are retained; 4 days).
In addition to our basic configuration, backup scheduling can be customized to suit the needs of each project.
