Network Storage
Bottleneck-free storage access by leveraging high-capacity 40 Gbps links in every single compute node.
- NAS centralized storage replicated in two data centers.
- Completely redundant storage volumes.
- Transparent and non-disruptive upgrades and downgrades between service levels.

Bottleneck-free high performance
Enjoy a high performance in all circumstances with our completely redundant Network Storage systems.
Highly available, fault-tolerant and persistent storage that is accessible over the multi-40 G/100 G network; with non-disruptive platform maintenance and updates.
Transparent and non-disruptive migrations between service levels. Leveraging NetApp’s capabilities, volumes across the cluster can be hot migrated, with no downtime, among different systems and flavors to meet the storage performance needs of our customers at any given time.
Storage efficiency technology: thin provisioning. Most centralized storage includes this technology, but its benefits usually remain in the hands of service providers. At Stackscale, we transfer this benefit to our customers.
Instant cloning thanks to NetApp’s module for VMware VAAI — installed by default in every VMware environment of Stackscale — with NetApp FlexClone.
Constant monitoring of performance metrics from each customer volume individually thanks to NetApp ONTAP’s QoS capabilities.
Full geo-replication included, synchronized hourly to fully independent storage systems physically located in a remote data center (except for Archive, which is intended for backups and archival).
Backups based on snapshots included; compatible with VMware, Proxmox VE, Kubernetes, Docker, HyperV, Citrix Hypervisor, Xen, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Red Hat Virtualization, Virtuozzo, OpenVZ, Nutanix, KVM and LXC. Customized backup schedules available on demand.
NAS Centralized Storage in High Availability delivered through the NFS protocol, which guarantees better data integrity protection than other block-based technologies (iSCSI, FC…) against certain contingency scenarios.
Network Storage's basic backup schedule
In the main system
- One snapshot taken every hour (last one copy kept).
- One snapshot taken every 2 hours (last 2 copies kept).
- One snapshot taken every 6 hours (last one copy kept).
In the replica system
- One snapshot taken every 6 hours (last 16 copies kept; 4 days).
In addition to our basic set up, the backup schedule can be customized to meet individual needs.
